My membership in Club Crazy for Ewe has changed my knitting. My sweater knitting used to be hit or miss as to polish and fit. When I joined the club, I found a path to learning how to improve my sweater knitting in every way. By using accurate body measurements and reading pattern schematics correctly, I began to see those numbers as information rather than scary things I wanted to avoid. The result has been many sweaters that I love and am proud to wear. Ellen’s systematic teaching and the camaraderie of other knitters in the club are beyond valuable. There is always help and encouragement.
I joined the club when it first started and what a blessing it has been. I came in having knit several sweaters so I wasn't sure what to expect. Ellen has so much great advice and you learn the things you didn't know you didn't know. She's full of tips and tricks for making your sweaters go from home-made to a more professional look. Ellen is very helpful and patient with questions, finding different ways to explain if you're not following her explanations. She truly cares about you and making sure you understand and are happy with your sweaters. This club really is about the members. While there is structure built in to the format and layout and Flock Talk has a designated topic, Ellen makes sure that it is about the members. She welcomes suggestions for future Flock Talks, answers questions that arise and if she hasn't done something before, she will do it alongside us or learn it so she can share with the group. And then there is the community. Everyone is so supportive and uplifting of each other. We have laughed, cried and everything in between. It is truly a great group of ladies.
