After years of knitting cowls, scarves, and hats I decided to take on the challenge of knitting my first sweater.  The concept seemed daunting so I decided to join in a virtual sweater knit along offered through Crazy for Ewe.  Our group met virtually every Saturday afternoon and the whole process was wonderful from start to finish.  Ellen walked us through each step of the way, from reading the pattern and understanding what was called for, tips and tricks to give our sweaters a more polished look, and answering our questions big and small.  With the camera up close on her needles, each one of us got a close view of Ellen's demonstrations of picking up stitches and seaming. I finished my first sweater in record time and love the result.  I feel empowered with my new knowledge learned from the knit along and am already working on another garment. I'm thankful to Ellen and Crazy for Ewe for providing the opportunity to learn new knitting skills!

I finished my first sweater!  Thank you Ellen and all the wonderful people I met through the KAL! The expertise you provided along the way was amazing, Ellen.   At the beginning of the KAL you said you would  be there until everyone was finished.  I thought “Right!  You haven’t met upside down backwards , the person of unfinished attempts of projects where the first snag- all is left undone.”   There you were every step of the way- I’m so thankful and can’t wait for the next project.

I wanted to take an opportunity to thank you for the offerings at your shop.  The personal touch that you offer, even to out of state customers, is very rare.  You are clearly a business owner who is very vested in her customer's needs and wants.

Prior to stumbling upon your podcasts, I was just a self-taught knitter with so many questions that I could never find help with.  Since then, you have offered help no matter how big or small.  Your zoom classes and knit-alongs are something I look forward to every week.  Even though I am not as experienced as some of the others, you still take the time to make sure that all of my questions are answered and that I understand what the next steps are in the pattern.

You are such a patient teacher and also warm and friendly.  On top of that, your staff is also very friendly and outgoing.  I can't thank you enough for making me enjoy knitting and the relaxation that it brings to a very hectic life.

I look forward to coming to your shop in person, hopefully soon, and meeting you in person.  You have a customer for life!

Thanks for all you do,

~Ellen Orr
